Just Published my First Book on Amazon! Important Update!

After many many months of research and a full year writing my mission is complete! My first book is now published on Amazon- a dream come true! I was working to a deadline to complete this work. The very real events in my book took place 170 years ago. August 7th is a very significant date in the story and I really had to finish all work before then. What happened on August 7th 1844? Something awful, something dreadful. Something so serious that questions were asked in the House of Commons. It was by far the most serious event in a sequence that began on New Years Day. This is a true and tragic tale. The truth about it has been lost for 170 years. My research proved the popular version of events that has come down the generations just is not correct. Now what really happened in Nottingham in 1844 is laid bare…..

My book can now be seen on Amazon in the Kindle store and anyone can look inside and read the first few chapters. It has undergone many changes. I uploaded most of the chapters in draft form but these have all been amended. The end of the book has been revised, new chapters added or re-named and the e-book also contains an intro, prologue, lexicon and epilogue. To download click on the book cover on the website – it is the same as the graphic here. It is available for download for just £1.80 ( and SOMETIMES I will be offering a FREE download ) – thats the lowest price you can sell for on Amazon. Please feel free to have a look by clicking on the link below. If you cant get to Amazon click on the blue hyperlink below the image…..

Now for some really good news. I did promise a special offer today. For those who have been following my blog and my progress, on either WordPress, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn, this is for you…

For a very short time you can download it for free this coming Sunday and Monday. You will need to have an Amazon account and a Kindle of some kind, or you will need the Kindle app ( free download) on your Ipad/ Iphone/ PC or Mac to read it. I have to schedule this offer and I have to work with Pacific Standard time which is all new to me. If you dont see the free download please try again later. This is a preview version and I would welcome any feedback. I also ask if possible that some of you will provide a sympathetic review of the book and if you really dont like it….. well you didnt pay for it. If you do like it feel free to re-blog / re-tweet or share it on your social media sites. It wont be free for long so if too busy to read now, download it for later reading.

I never really had any intention to contact any publishers or agents to try to market my work. It was always my dream to use the internet and Amazon and social media.

Thats just about all the excitement I can take for now. I will soon return with a series of blogs explaining how I created my first e-book. I am sure there wll be other writers who would find the information useful.

In case of any problems with the free download this weekend I will post a message on  this blog….PS JUST DID THAT WITH THIS UPDATE,couldnt schedule it in time for Saturday!

Happy downloading and hope you like it.

July 2015...... I published my first book on Amazon - "Savilles Spinnney". On April 1st 2015 I published my second book - "Arsenic Sally". Christmas Day 2015 I published my third book " Murder Mystery and Mayhem on the Railways 1830-1899. That's 3 books in roughly 18 months. I enjoy researching and see no reason to stop writing.
